Elizabeth (Liz) Root
Executive Vice President, Business Development - Southeast Region
Elizabeth (Liz) has over 15 years experience in marketing, training, and Six Sigma project work in the financial and insurance industries. She is Executive Vice-President of Business Development for Bedford's Southeast region and works with the Southeast’s Regional Managers to develop national, regional and local relationships with CPA firms, Commercial Developers, Commercial Real Estate owners and attorneys. Prior to her work at Bedford, Liz was a Director of Marketing for one the nation’s largest insurance carriers focusing on the development of a division’s brand and presence in the marketplace and managed Six Sigma projects to improve the quality and service to their clients.
Liz is currently on the local and state board of Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA) and also serving on the Allied Council, Member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Orlando serving on the Communication committee, Member of Rotary International –Maitland, FL chapter and serving on the membership committee, Member of the Hospitality Financial & Technical Professionals (HFTP), and finally a member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Liz received her BS in Child and Family Development from Harry S. Truman University in Kirksville, MO and an MAE in Higher Education Administration from the University of Toledo in Toledo, OH.
