Terri S. Johnson
President - Mid-Atlantic Region
Terri has over 23 years experience in the real estate industry. She is President of Bedford Capital Consulting's Mid-Atlantic region, where she works with many regional and national CPA firms in supporting their Cost Segregation practices, in addition to owners and investors of real estate. She regularly works with clients to utilize engineering-based Cost Segregation Studies to accelerate depreciation leveraging their real estate to create significant tax deferrals. Prior to co-founding the Philadelphia office, Terri was Sr. Vice President at EMG, one of the nation's largest real estate due diligence firms. Her responsibilities included management of the company's national account program, development of training programs for clients and for employees, and development and implementation of new and innovative programs and services (such as Cost Segregation Services).
Terri is Past President of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Philadelphia. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the CREW Network, a national association representing over 8,000 members in commercial real estate. She has been a Delegate to the CREW Network and served on the Board of Trustees for the CREW Foundation. She also received one of the Coalition of Commercial Real Estate Associations (CCREA) Leadership Awards in 2002. She co-chaired CREW Careers in Philadelphia in the inaugural year, an 8 week series teaching inner city at-risk girls about careers in real estate. She received the Honorable Mention in the Career Advancement for Women category as part of the 2007 CREW Network Impact Awards. Terri is on the Membership Committee of the Apartment Association of Greater Philadelphia, and is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Terri has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She has lectured extensively on Cost Segregation Studies to real estate groups and regularly provides CPE training along with Practice Development seminars to many accounting firms.
